Zbrush modelling!

Here are my first attempts at Zbrush sculpting. I'm a bit late getting on this bandwagon but better late than never? For those of you who don't know what Zbrush is, it's a cool program for high resolution 3d sculpting. I barely have a grasp of the tools or the potential of the thing. Basically I click things and grunt till the little gray mesh starts to resemble...men. Apparently I like sculpting men.

The first few shots are the initial result of this ham-fisted method of approach. The next three are a refinement of that same model hence the identical ears and hair. The ears are wonky looking because I don't know what the hell I'm doing.

The Fallen

Art created for the Fallen reveal last week. These two are portraits of two of the figures in the main image.

yay!

So I thought it would be good practice to start painting portraits. This one is pretty straightforward, but I'd like to explore other styles. We'll see if I can keep this up...about 4 hours.

The Archivist

Hello! My first post! Hooray! I hope having this blog will help keep me honest in producing art outside of work. It's something I've wanted to do for awhile yet somehow has never happened. Anyways, boooooring.

This was used for Blizzard's April Fools joke earlier this year. It's up on the website, so I'm guessing It's ok to post it here. Enjoy!
